"Night time view over the Pouakai Ranges. Standing at what I called the 'Pouakai intersection', I could clearly see the small and large Magellanic Clouds hovering around the mountain and even got a hint of Aurora too with one of what I call the 'lesser/minor arms' of the Milky Way arch coming down on the right. /The orange across most of the sky is airglow (there was a ton around on the night) but there was a little more of a glow facing South. - 📸 Grant Birley - Photos of Taranaki
