An official opening ceremony has been held for Te Rau Mātāpuna o Taranaki, the new acute services building at Taranaki Base Hospital, with services transitioning from Monday.

The Main Entrance at Taranaki Base Hospital’s new acute services building, Te Rau Mātāpuna o Taranaki.

A ceremony for the official opening took place this morning with Associate Health Minister Matt Doocey.

We’ll be posting video footage on our YT channel over the coming days, including a tour of the new facilities (details below).

Medical services will begin transitioning into the new building from Monday 29 June.
