Maryann Rest Home, Hospital & Dementia Unitand Marire Rest Home Maryann Rest Home offers quality personalized care for all its residents. Maryann Rest Home prides itself on its high standard of care and experienced friendly staff, including a registered nurse on-site 24 hours a day ~ 7 days a week. An activities coordinator organizes games, exercises, activities and outings for the residents. Maryann Rest Home has an on-site visiting General Practitioner, podiatrist and hair dresser. All the meals are prepared and cooked on-site. The meals are dietician approved to meet the residents individual needs. Maryann Rest Home offers three levels of residential care; Rest home, Hospital and a Dementia care unit. Other services available include: Palliative Care Respite care Day care Home-based support service The rest home area comprises of 8 rooms, 6 of the 8 rest home rooms have their own adjoining sun room. The hospital area comprises of 24 hospital rooms. The Dementia care unit comprises of 16 rooms. The Hospital and Dementia care unit have both on-suite and non on-suite room options. Each of the three areas have their own separate dining room and lounge with a free view TV. In 2014 the Maryann Rest Homes Dementia care unit was designed and built with consultation and guidance from dementia professionals. The unit has since been used as a model for other dementia units being built around New Zealand. Maryann Rest Home is community owned and is a non-profit charitable organization.
