WITT understands that a strong entrepreneurial and innovative approach to problem solving is a key factor in adding credible value to new ventures in Taranaki.
In 2022, WITT will offer a number of avenues for you to explore and expand your entrepreneurial & innovative knowledge.
In the second trimester, you will have the opportunity to workshop Design Thinking and apply innovative thinking to the creation of new products and services – providing workable solutions to local problems. This course is modelled on the hugely successful programme run by Justin Ferrell at the Sandford d. School, and will be offered as part of our new post graduate programme and as a standalone paper.
WITT is also launching QualifyMe - a new, innovative way of navigating and acquiring knowledge. QualifyMe acknowledges the skills and experience that you bring to the table. This means that you can reduce the time a qualification takes by focusing on areas in which you would like to level up, rather than covering areas in which you are already conversant. If you have experience in human resources, for example, you may be able to receive credit for this, which will allow you to focus on areas of interest such as marketing, product development, or project management.
WITT is currently exploring opportunities to work alongside key stakeholders in a bespoke central city innovation hub. This hub will offer spaces to workshop ideas, gain knowledge and skills from seasoned professionals, and also acquire qualifications along the way. It will offer a tailored educational journey suited specifically to your needs.
