Lake Rotomanu is being emptied so scientists can survey the extent of the invasive gold clam infestation — the lake will stay empty for the summer.

🌊 Some snaps from Lake Rotomanu today which is being emptied to allow scientists to carry out surveys of the scope and nature of the gold clam infestation. Fish harvesting is also taking place in partnership with local hapū. The lake will remain empty for the summer.
