The annual Taranaki Truck Show is being held at Hickford Park in Bell Block today to raise funds for the Taranaki Retreat mental health charity.

With the mental health and the well-being of personnel an ongoing challenge for the trucking industry, organisers have again chosen Taranaki Retreat & Waimanako as the charity they are supporting for this year's Taranaki Truck Show.

The Retreat, built in 2017 by Jamie Allen and his wife Suzy following the tragic loss of their daughter to cancer, provides lifesaving support to those in need.

The Taranaki Truck Show is on today (Sunday 8th March) at Hickford Park in Bell Block, from 9:30am–3:00pm, with activities for the smaller kids to enjoy as well as Sim Racing and VR headsets for the older ones, trade stalls, food vendors and more.

If you're around for the long weekend, head along and support this great cause. Entry by gold-coin donation.
