🚨 Taranaki Rescue Stories: 🚁 On Saturday afternoon the Rescue Helicopter responded to an accident involving a vehicle that had rolled 50m down a hill near Ōhura.
Landing access for the helicopter was an issue, so the Intensive Care Paramedic was hover off-loaded to assist two patients at the scene.
After landing at top of the hill, the Pilot and Air Crew Officer made their way down to the scene to assist.
The first patient was hover-loaded and transported back to Taranaki Base Hospital, while the Taupō-based Greenlea Rescue Helicopter was called in to assist and transported the second patient to Waikato Hospital.
