Join the Experiencing Marine Reserves team down at Ngāmotu Beach for a snorkel, led by our experienced guides. No experience required! (Ages 7 yrs+. Children under 10yrs must have an accompanying adult - please register the adult too).
We have all the gear you need, just bring your togs and towel.
Location: We will be located near the public toilets near the middle of Ngāmotu Beach.
There are limited spaces available for snorkel sessions so registration is essential (and please only register if you plan to come!)
**WAITLIST** The number of registrations we can offer is dependent on the number of volunteer guides we have available. Sometimes we are able to release more spaces when an additional guide confirms their availability to support on the day. If you have missed out on a place in one of the 3 sessions (10am; 11:30am and 1pm), please sign up to the waitlist. Please note that if we do NOT contact you, then we are unfortunately unable to offer you a place.
How to participate:
1. Register on Eventfinda in advance
2. On the day, arrive 10 mins early to check in at our registration desk. You might like to offer a koha on arrival (some people donate $5-10 per person). Alternatively donate via bank transfer to Ngā Motu Marine Reserve Society TSB 15-3953-0297011-081.
3. Get your wetsuit and snorkel gear fitted at the gear trailer
4. Wait for your allocated snorkel guide
5. Enjoy your guided snorkel!
6. Come back to shore with guide
7. Remove, rinse and return snorkel gear
8. Fill out the evaluation form
