For October's session we will be joined by Curator of Contemporary Art and Collections, Simon Gennard who will lead a tour of Economies of Deferral.

He will offer insights into the artists, whose work bears witness to, advocates from within, and troubles our understanding of the profound economic, social and political transformations that have shaped the last four decades. 

Join Simon as he speaks to how Economies of Deferral can act as a testimony to human lives caught up in the tides of structural adjustment.

 

Govett-Brewster Seniors offers a monthly dose of art and culture, with free-flowing conversations and experiences of contemporary art based on, in and around the Gallery’s current exhibitions and events. No knowledge of art is needed.
Seniors takes place from 10am – 11am on the second Friday of each month, with many regulars gathering next door at Monica’s Eatery for a coffee at 9.30am.
