Following another highly successful Concerto & Aria Competition in April, the Taranaki Symphony Orchestra is delighted to welcome eight music students performing as soloists with the orchestra in an evening that will delight listeners of all ages. From exciting piano concertos to a lyrical soprano aria and the virtuostic fireworks of flute, violin and trumpet solos, this is an event you will not want to miss! Under the direction of Christopher J. Luke, our soloists will include Samuel Lim (piano), Delavan Mackey (piano), Mac Waugh (trumpet), Indiana Waugh (soprano) Isabella Kwong (violin), Maya Horne (flute), Arabella Waugh (trumpet), Nancy Chen (piano), Yanis To (violin) and Angela Wang (piano). With Verdi's triumphal march from his opera Aida opening the programme, be prepared to be amazed at the incredible young musical talent that Taranaki has to offer!
