Since 2005, we have held an annual pirate pubcrawl in New Plymouth every Septemb-arr. What started as a handful of friends skiving off work has grown to be the southern hemisphere's largest pirate event with a record setting 265 pirates joining us in 2025

Pirates from all over New Zealand gather in New Plymouth to celebrate everything about being a pirate. We fill the bars with noise, we fill our bellies with booze and grub, and we fill the fine people of Taranaki with confusion and merriment

New pirates are welcomed with open arrrms. If ye have never joined us before, we love meeting new pirates - young and old. Non drinkers are also welcome! We have quite a few sober pirates who all have a great time

So invite ye pi-curious mates, dust off ye pirate costumes, practice ye shantys and get ready for the largest gathering of pirates ye will ever see
