An unforgettable evening of storytelling from the coldest place on Earth. The New Zealand Antarctic Society is proud to invite you to a presentation by Rex Hendry and a curated selection of captivating short films from the heart of Antarctica.

The films blend stunning documentary footage, curated by award winning filmmaker Anthony Powell, that reveals the continent’s stark beauty, unforgiving conditions, climate change, and penguin antics with stories captured by inventive and funny entries from the Winter International Film Festival of Antarctica’s 48-Hour Challenge, an annual showcase of creativity and resilience from those who winter-over on the Ice.

But before the films, we'll hear from Rex Hendry who will talk about living and wintering at Scott Base in Antarctica in the 1970s/80s, and associated challenges.
