For one evening only, Haukai Bistro & Bar welcomes Chef Nico back into the kitchen to recreate the flavours that made Toret one of New Plymouth’s most loved dining experiences.

Together, both Chef Nico and Chef Richard Ponder, will present a specially curated five course menu that celebrates the legacy of Toret while showcasing the creativity, skill and quality that define Haukai today. It’s a rare opportunity to experience two distinctive culinary styles coming together for one unforgettable evening.

Dine & Stay Package for Two | $499 (Per Couple) | Includes two tickets for the Toret five-course dinner, a night’s stay for two in our studio room, breakfast for two the following morning.

Chef Nico first made his mark in New Plymouth as the owner and head chef of Toret Cucina Italiana, a restaurant renowned for its authentic Italian flavours, handmade pasta and unwavering commitment to quality ingredients.

Although Toret has since closed its doors, its legacy remains with many locals who still talk about the dishes they loved. This exclusive takeover brings those flavours back to life for one unforgettable evening, blending the spirit of Toret with Haukai’s contemporary dining experience.
