Forest, Force, and Flow: An Immersive Making Experience:
This term, we’ll explore themes of forest, force, and flow. Create a forest-inspired diorama shaped by sound and movement as you listen deeply to the mauri ora—the life force—of Rotokare’s immersive forest experience. Tune into birdsong and respond by making kinetic sculptures that move and sway.
Discover one of the world’s first animations inspired by life cycles, energy, and motion—then create your own. Build a playful weather machine and learn how weather is measured, and what those measurements reveal about our environment. Then, with a focus on energy, experiment with unusual power sources by turning fruit and vegetables into electricity.
Book in and be inspired by the exhibitions.
Tutor: Ellie Field
Please note:
If your child has any health or learning needs that may impact their participation, please be in touch before you book to enquire if the class will be suitable for them.
