The cycle park can be accessed from the Coastal Walkway a few kilometers further on from Te Rewa Rewa bridge or by road. For access by road from Bell Block, follow the signs from Parklands Avenue onto Smeaton Road, then St Andrews Drive.

The Taranaki Cycle Park includes a 1.75km closed road circuit with two smaller 1km loops as well as a 333m velodrome. The park also includes a learners pad, pump track, obstacle course, and mini road circuit with traffic lights and road signs for younger riders.
