Lake Rotomanu is being emptied for the summer to allow scientists to survey a gold clam infestation and conduct fish harvesting with local hapū.

🌊 Some snaps from Lake Rotomanu today which is being emptied to allow scientists to carry out surveys of the scope and nature of the gold clam infestation. Fish harvesting is also taking place in partnership with local hapū. The lake will remain empty for the summer.
