NZTA has released the overnight convoy schedule for State Highway 3 through the Awakino Gorge from Tuesday 12 to Saturday 16 May.

Here's the convoy schedule for State Highway 3 (SH3) Awakino Gorge from Tuesday 12 to Saturday 16 May.

Convoys will run overnight between 5pm and 6:30am per the schedule below.

NZTA says the convoy times have been scheduled to allow enough time for everyone to get through Awakino Gorge, so they encourage drivers to arrive early for their preferred departure time.

As always, the convoy times may change, be delayed, or be paused at short notice due to weather or safety requirements. If you are travelling, plan ahead and arrive early. The latest convoy times and any changes are published on NZTA's Journey Planner.

The convoy schedule for Sunday and Monday will be provided later this week.

Southbound
• 5pm – 5.30pm
• 7pm – 7.30pm
• 9pm – 9.30pm
• 11pm – 11.30pm
• 1am – 1.30am
• 3am – 3.30am
• 5am – 5.30am

Northbound
• 6pm – 6.30pm
• 8pm – 8.30pm
• 10pm – 10.30pm
• 12am – 12.30am
• 2am – 2.30am
• 4am – 4.30am
• 6am – 6.30am
