Power UpdateWeather Taranaki
Powerco crews are working to restore electricity to 2,396 customers, with Taranaki being the hardest-hit region following severe winds.

Latest update from Powerco: Recent high winds have caused extensive damage to parts of Powerco’s electricity network, making it challenging, and at times unsafe, for crews to carry out repairs.

As at 10am today (Saturday 27 June), 2,396 customers remain without power with Taranaki the hardest hit area.

Customers without power by region :

- Taranaki 2,046
- Wairarapa 184
- Whanganui 118
- Manawatū 40

Powerco thanks customers for their patience as crews work as quickly and safely as possible to restore power.

While it’s still too early to provide estimated restoration times, additional crews, including support from outside the region, are on the ground.

If your outage isn't showing on Powerco’s outage map, please report it.
