One lane of State Highway 3 in Awakino has re-opened following a truck crash that left one person injured and blocked the road.

Update 11:21am: Police advise one lane has now re-opened. "Motorists are advised to delay travel or take an alternate route while the scene is cleared."

State Highway 3 in Awakino is blocked after a truck has rolled this morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident, between Iredale Quay and Gribbin Street, about 8.50am.

One person has been taken to hospital with moderate injuries. There are no other vehicles reported to be involved.

The road will remain closed while the truck is being recovered and the road is cleaned.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area where possible and expect delays.
