From 7am this morning the Emergency Department (ED) at Taranaki Base Hospital will begin operating from its new modern space in the East Wing Building.
Should you or someone you know require emergency health care, here’s what you need to know:
• From 7am please go to the new ED entrance. The best entrance is either via Gate 1 (David Street) or Gate 3 (Lorna Street).
• There will be signage to help guide you to the patient drop-off zone.
• The ED will remain open at all times during the move.
• If you need urgent care, please come to ED as usual.
• In an emergency, always call 111.
