Mayor Max Brough is hosting a public meeting this Thursday to gather community feedback on the proposed merger between TSB and Heartland Bank.

In his weekly livestream today, New Plymouth mayor Max Brough announced he’s holding a Public Meeting for the proposed TSB & Heartland Bank merger.

Brough acknowledged it’s not Council’s role, but says he represents the wider community. “I’m taking a viewpoint that even though this is not Council, I need to get involved to some degree and represent what people are saying.” he said.

Set to take place this Thursday 25 June from 5:30pm at Plymouth International Hotel, the mayor said he wants to discuss the proposed merger and “hear from the community about [their] views, for or against."

“Bring your thoughts - we really want to hear them.”
