Toi Foundation trustees will reopen the community consultation period for the proposed TSB & Heartland Bank merger this Friday 10 July, following an error that cut the initial feedback window short.
First published on 3 June 2026, the original public notice regarding the proposed TSB & Heartland Bank merger mistakenly closed a day early.
In a public statement, the Toi Foundation apologised "unreservedly" for the error after a review of community feedback revealed the early closure.
To ensure the notice requirements and community engagement process remain "fair, transparent and fully compliant," trustees are reopening the submission window on Friday.
Toi Foundation confirmed that all submissions received during the first community engagement period will be retained and considered by the trustees together with all new submissions.
Trustees will evaluate all community feedback before making a final decision about whether or not to sell all of the TSB Bank shares and proceed with the proposal.
Official notification of the final closing date will be published on 14 July 2026 in the last publication of the prescribed notice.
