TSB Bank has welcomed its first customers into a newly modernised central New Plymouth branch, consolidating its CBD operations into a single location.

Doors opened on Tuesday morning on the ground floor of 103 Courtenay Street, following the permanent closure of the former Devon Street East premises last Friday afternoon.

Situated adjacent to the existing TSB car park, the modernised space combines everyday transactional services, home loan assistance and commercial banking under one roof.

TSB Chief Executive Kerry Boielle stated that the relocation focuses on simplifying access for regional clients. Moving the Centre Branch into the hub means business and personal customers will have everything they need in one place, Boielle said.

According to the bank, customers can expect to see the same familiar staff providing services within the upgraded space.

Branch features include a secure, round-the-clock lobby accessible via card swipe, which contains a Smart ATM for cash withdrawals and note deposits. A coin deposit machine and a note-splitter for changing larger notes into smaller denominations are also available in the secure area.

TSB also recently relocated its Head Office team to the OMV building on Gill Street while long-term options for the current Head Office building are explored.

“These moves are about investing in our future so we can keep delivering great service and support to our Taranaki customers for generations to come,” says Boielle.
