Prime Minister Christopher Luxon will host a public meeting in New Plymouth this Saturday, joined by local MP David MacLeod, who will co-host the afternoon session at the Plymouth International Hotel.
According to the event description, the meeting aims to give the Taranaki public an opportunity to hear about the issues affecting New Zealanders, alongside the National Party's core vision of "Fixing the Basics and Building the Future."
This weekend's visit, scheduled to run from 3:30pm until 5:00pm, follows several regional stops by the Prime Minister over recent weeks, where public discussions frequently centred on economic pressures, infrastructure funding and law and order.
MacLeod has served as the New Plymouth Member of Parliament since the 2023 general election, following a long tenure as the chair of the Taranaki Regional Council.
